The CompTIA A+ training program covers two modules of training; you're qualified as A+ competent once you've passed your exams for both of them. CompTIA A+ training programs cover diagnostics and fault finding - both remote access and hands-on, alongside building, fixing, repairing and working in antistatic conditions. Perhaps you see yourself as the person who is involved with a big team - in network support, add Network+ to your CompTIA A+, or consider the Microsoft networking route (MCSA - MCSE) because it's necessary to have a better comprehension of how networks work.

Make sure that all your certifications are current and also valid commercially - you're wasting your time with studies that only give in-house certificates. To an employer, only the big-boys like Microsoft, CompTIA, Adobe or Cisco (for instance) give enough bang for your buck. Nothing else makes the grade.
